Over the last few decades, the American steel industry has suffered immensely due to foreign steel flooding the market. By imposing a limit on imported steel, American steel companies will be able to grow and create much needed jobs. Also, as a result of the companies growing, gas and oil companies will have the chance to use better American steel for their operations, versus the foreign steel they have been using, which is of lower quality.
