During the course of the day the majority of the people receive ROBO Calls. Calls made by computer systems which randomly generate an invalid phone number to be displayed on the caller ID. You can not call these numbers back. Most of the calls are from someone claiming to want to lower your interest rate on your credit card. However, I have discovered these calls to be scams because they get upset if you talk to them and start asking detailed questions about who they are and where they are located. Other calls include people trying to sell magazines, alarm systems, etc. This is extremely dangerous to senior citizens because they are most likely to fall for these scams.
Congress should act now to prohibit anyone from disguising their numbers from the person being contacted.
