A limit needs to be set on how long a politician can wait between the time they have previously held a position and when they choose to run again for the same position. For example, Gov. Jerry Brown of California served as the state's 34th governor from 1975 to 1983, and 28 years later, was reelected as the 39th governor in 2011. Politicians should not be able to wait more than a generation to come back to their position, as we need our government officials to be suited with the times in order to make informed decisions.
