To impose madatory term limits on all current and future members of both houses of Congress.

Congress has an average public approval rating of under 20%. The average Senator and Representative spends 75% of his time in office fundraising in order to stay in office. The 25% of time spent doing the work he or she was elected to do is spent accomplishing little more than increasing the tax burden of the average working American citizen. By imposing mandatory term limits for current (and future)members of Congress, The individual elected will have no need to spend the majority of his or her time seeking reelection and may focus on their constitutional duty. This petition is to propose that no individual may serve more than 1 six year term in the House of Representatives and 1 eight year term in the Senate.
