The California drought is out of control, and Governor Jerry Brown's restrictions are not drastic enough to save California's aquifers. Imposing a moratorium on California's three thirstiest industries can reverse this. Almond framing uses 1.1 trillion gallons of water per year, bottled water production uses 705 million gallons and hydraulic fracturing uses 70 million gallons. Hydraulic fracturing, also known as "fracking", has the additional side effect of adding dangerous chemicals to the groundwater.
Please act quickly to contain and reverse California's drought. These industries are depriving California of the single most important resource.
