impose new FCC guidelines that prevent news organizations from revealing the photos or names of "mass-shooters"

Created by S.P. on June 10, 2014

Each year there are several public mass shootings in America. The exposure that these murderers receive in the national media is horrendous, and many times the amount of remembrance the victims receive.

This habit will only serve to inspire others to do so, if only to "go out in a blaze of glory".

The gun control debate has gone on for years and most likely will continue to do so. Regardless of your position, I believe it's safe to say that we are all disgusted with the media providing these killers a sense of accomplishing something with their violence.

We ask the US Government to prevent the gratuitous exposure that is provided to these criminals by enacting FCC guidelines and penalties to prevent the media from inflating their ratings with the suffering of these victims.
