On January 16, 2013 Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted amendments (Bill reg #3879) to the Law of Ukraine “On the Judicial System and Status of Judges”.
The Law stipulates increased sanctions against people of Ukraine who are demonstrating unwillingness to comply with government policies and are voicing their protest agains government politics, as well as establish additional enforcement actions for maintenance of "public order" as prescribed by ukrainian officials.
We demand to impose personal sanctions on members of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine who supported amendments' approval mentioned above.
The sanctions should include but not be limited to:
- Ban to enter the U.S. and EU for people mentioned above and their families.
- Freeze bank accounts of companies affiliated with them
