The recent violations of human rights in Ukraine demand a strong response from the international community. The government not only "passed" laws against peaceful assembly (without a quorum in the room), but are hiring thugs (titushkas) to destroy property and create chaos. Speeches alone will not protect innocent people. Impose personal sanctions on President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych and members of his government.
The sanctions should include but not be limited to:
- Ban entering the U.S. and EU for Mr Yanukovych and Ukraine government member's families.
- Freeze bank accounts of companies affiliated with Yanukovych and other government officials.
