Impose significant economic and political sanctions on India to force them to address the horrific rape crisis.

With the recent high profile gang rape in New Dehli, it has become apparent that India is not taking women's and human rights issues seriously. In spite of their economic growth, incidents like a 3 hour gang rape of a young woman on a public bus are still common. Partnering with the EU, the US should levy economic and political sanctions to against India to force them to change. It's a travesty that India allows this to happen and is still part of the international community.
