Since July 20, 1974 the nation of Cyprus was under illegal Turkish occupation. The Turkish army has since destroyed Orthodox Churches, raped Cypriot women and children, and killed Cypriot men and children of the Orthodox religion. The Turkish army has been forcing the Cypriots to convert to islam or to face death. Also, the Turkish military has been allowing for Turkey to drill for oil off the coast, stealing Cyprus' resources.
