Impose term limits on both houses of Congress.

As citizens of the United States of America, we have never been less satisfied with the legislative branch of the federal government than we are currently. This is because of the progressively detrimental pathology of partisanship within our Congress, exacerbated by a culture of working harder to retain one's job than actually attempting to fulfill its duties by serving his or her constituents. This has, without a doubt, been the main catalyst of the "fiscal cliff" and other political showdowns to which we've been forced to bear witness. It is the contention of the supporters of this petition that our legislature would be astoundingly more effective if members of Congress were less concerned with losing elections for being open-minded enough to compromise on revenue and entitlements.
