We The People of the United States petition the federal government to impose term limits on congressmen and senators to no more than two consecutive terms and pay is capped at $175,000.00 per year. It’s very clear that through the years and up to this very moment we can no longer depend on our elected officials (Presidents, Congressmen and Senators) to run our country, from balancing a budget to leadership in a responsible manner. Our politicians are not serving We The People. Our politicians are self-serving and they are in dereliction of duty. This petition is to change how long an elected official can remain in office. We petition the U.S. Government to only allow an elected official to run for office a second term and cap pay at $175,000.00 per year.
