Impose term limits for elected Legislative Branch officials; members of the Senate and the House of Representatives. An individual is eligible to serve a total of four complete terms in the Legislative Branch, two complete terms in the Senate and two complete terms in the House of Representatives. A person being elected under a special election to fill a vacancy and the remainder of the term being filled is less than half the full term does not constitute serving a complete term and the member is still eligible to serve their two complete terms in either the Senate or the House of Representatives. A person being elected under a special election to fill a vacancy and the remainder of the term is greater than half the prescribed term will have their service count as a full term.
