Impose term limits on U.S. Senators and Representatives. This petition is to determine support for such action.

The federal government has increaseingly become elitist in nature and no longer has the best interest of the country as its main goal. It routinely passes bills without reading them, without any regard for unintended consequenses or effect on everyday citizens. Many problems in this country come from entrenched career politicians and fewer and fewer statesmen. Politicians are selling out to special interest just to be reelected. Reelection has become the prime directive. It is time to establish a system that will provide true representation for the populace, instead of the ever increasing ruling elite career politicians. Power corrupts and the longer an individual feeds on power, the more corrupt they become. The time has come for the citizen statesman through term limits. Respectfully
