Impose tougher restrictions on knives

In wake of the recent events that unfolded in Texas at the Lone Star Community College, I want the Obama administration to pose stricter laws on knives. Fourteen people were injured and we can't allow another knife attack to occur. So I propose that we do background checks on individuals who purchase these weapons, limit the types of knives people are allowed to carry and or ban certain types. Lets forget about the gun restrictions and focus on the real problem.
