Imposed tougher penalties on persons who commit illegal acts with a firearm.

Before any new restrictions are imposed on law abiding citizens who might own firearms we should first address the real problem: unlawful act conducted by persons with firearms.
Our judicial system has lost its way on the sentencing of persons that have committed unlawful acts with a firearm. There needs to be tougher penalties imposed on persons who commit illegal acts with a firearm. To include mandatory minimum sentencing, no bail granted for criminals who have prior arrest, and entry into a national database that prohibits that person from ever owning a firearm in the future. Then if that person should ever commit another unlawful act with a firearm, then that person should be sentence to life in prison. We need to send a clear message to these criminals that gun violence will not
