Improve Access to Education

Created by D.W. on November 11, 2011

Educational access could be greatly improved by the creation of a Federal website containing courses for all levels of education for all desired career paths. This would not be a complete solution as many careers require some hands on learning, but even here introductory audiovisual material can often be used.

Users would be home schoolers, classroom students who want a second learning approach, non-students who want to learn a subject, and those who have learned the subject but want to review. Access would be free. Proof of learning, if needed, would be by tests similar to the GED test.

Costs would be greatly reduced both for student and the taxpaying public. Students would not have to buy textbooks or pay for travel or tuition. The public would save on classrooms, teachers, and so on.
