We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Improve and expand animal clinics and shelters

Created by K.D. on December 08, 2016

Many people in the United States own pets. However, only some can afford to get shots, feed, and take care of them. There are numerous people who treat their pets like their own family that have experienced the painful loss of one. Also, because some treatments are too expensive, many owners have to give them up. That is how a lot of animals are brought into shelters. Since shelters get so full, “approximately 2.7 million dogs and cats are killed every year” (Do Something). The sad truth is, only one out in every ten dogs will find a permanent home. “Homeless animals outnumber homeless people 5 to 1”, and it is so depressing (Do Something). We, the people, need to act upon this situation. Improve and expand animal clinics and shelters, and lead them to a better home.
