Improve California's Water Supply

Created by E.B. on May 05, 2015

California has been experiencing a severe drought since 2007 - that's 8 years. This is the worst drought that California has experienced in almost 40 years. This year, the snow-pack measurement of 2015 was 5% lower than average. 2014 was the third driest year in 119 years of record. It was also the warmest year on record.
Agriculture in California is a $21.24 billion industry. California produces 14.7% of the U.S. agricultural exports. Water is the most essential asset in California. If we don't have water, the price of food will almost certainly rise, considering that California produces 14.7% of the nation's agriculture. I urge you to sign this petition, and I urge the Obama Administration to please do something about the severe drought in California.
