Improve the economy and education by using the inspirational power of NASA, Give NASA 1%.

Rather than wait for another war time space race, our country should capitalize by funding NASA 1% of the federal budget (Apollo program was 4.5%). The NASA SLS program would get humans to Mars soon, bringing the focus of world in science and technology back to the United States. We need to have that flagship project that can create heroes, heroes that are a force on the educational pipeline, which stimulates the formation of scientists, engineers, and technologists. Every dollar invested into NASA benefits society by many magnitudes. The science illiteracy in our country is high enough that it causes the lack of pressure to get NASA the money it needs to do what it does best and that’s making dreams come true.
