Reduce the cost of school administration by reducing the number of school districts in the United States and/or limiting pay for district officials. Require 80% of education funding to go directly to classrooms to reduce class sizes, purchase materials, recruit teachers, or pay for teacher education. This can be achieved by increasing federal funding while requiring states and districts to change their spending habits in order to receive the increased funding. Let's seriously commit to smaller classes, state of the art materials, and talented, well-educated teachers.
