To Improve the Efficiency of Defense Spending following the Failure of the Sentinel Cutter Program

Created by C.H. on November 25, 2013

The recent failure of the Bollinger Sentinel cutter program as well as the Joint Strike program going well over budget indicate a failure to allocate defense spending efficiently.

Thus, there needs to be steps taken to improving research into project success and the overall usage of defense spending.

We petition that the Department of Defense forms a commission utilizing researchers from multiple perspectives both civil and military that investigates contractors and program feasibility, as well as implementing punitive measures for firms that fail to complete projects or go well over budget, so as to encourage fiscal responsibility for defense spending.
