improve K-1 Visa processing times at USCIS and follow through on promises!

Created by I.S. on May 06, 2013

The standard time given for a K-1 Fiance Visa averages at 5 months, taking about 7 months (more like interview in the 7th month) and now being stuck in Additional Administrative Processing for 9+ months. There has been some evidence that this delay is due to the prioritizing of DACA applications over K-1 fiance applications. This is in direct opposition to the President's promise to prioritize those immigrants that have followed the legal path to citizenship over immigrants that have been here illegally. The Whitehouse should resolve to address this backlog of K-1 applications immediately.
*The Vermont Service Center was supposed to be one of the quickest to process but that isn't the case anymore.
