Improve the mental health of the country by creating school psychologists positions nation-wide.

Created by A.D. on January 12, 2013

School shootings, suicides related to bullying, bullies themselves, increased rates of ADHD and depression. There is no single reason why mental health care reform should be on the table. The social stigma and costs have long created a social divide in the availability of these services, when those with less often need it more. A dedicated, trained professional would prove invaluable. Much like my childhood memories of going to the school nurse for hearing and vision tests, standardized mental health check-ups at key developmental points would improve the mental well being of children through-out the country. And with these psychologists on hand, those who would be otherwise unable to afford and pursue specialized treatment may instead receive this continued support.
