IMPROVE NATIONAL FOREST REGULATIONS

Created by A.K. on August 28, 2015

On August 14, 2015, a huge tree fell on two innocent young boys in Yosemite National Park at around 5:00 am. One of the boys was a dear friend of mine from camp. He was always full of energy and so caring. Frustration and denial overflowed my head as the information processed through. The NBC news reported that the park has already received warnings about the drought and the trees but did nothing to prevent such a tragedy. In order to prevent future occurrences such as this one, I ask the government to further investigate and regulate national parks. National forest regulations by the federal government must be improved to prevent such tragedies in the future. The killing of two virtuous boys cannot be overseen as just an insignificant event.
