To improve the overall health of poor Americas; food stamp money - distribution based on food pyramid.

Created by W.O. on July 15, 2013

Since unhealthy foods tend to be the cheapest, and with health care costs rising, the Federal govt. should design the food stamp/card program to require a certain amount of healthy foods to be purchased, even if that requirement means that more money is provided for purchasing food. There would have to be a certain amount of that money spent on fruits and vegetables. This would in turn, help with the costs of health care. So even though more money may be spent in order to ensure a healthier lifestyle, there would be savings for medical care, and prescription drugs such as for diabetes.
