Improve Patient and Consumer privacy protections against non-consensual data-mining, sharing and use.

Created by J.F. on June 16, 2014

Medical and Technological innovation has come a long ways lately, but it has become more invasive and careless with consumer data than ever. We therefor ask that you:

Ban "data-mining as a requirement" for product use/purchase.

Ban the practice of "opt-out" data mining (as opposed to "opt-in")

Require clear, layman, explanations of the intended use of data prior to collection approval.

Require strict, purpose-specific, consumer and patient consent prior to data collection.

Require that consensual sharing of individuals data with outside parties strictly adhere to the consumer or patient's purpose for allowing it's collection.

Require additional Patient or consumer approval before data may be shared with any additional party not described at the time of original consent.
