Dear Mr. President and First Lady,
The obesity figures in our young americans are in one word, staggering. As much as I have seen your wife, Michelle try, obesity in the U.S still remains at an unacceptable number. I know you can't control, only influence what happens at home when our youth eat unhealthy foods or don't exercise. But what you can change is what happens in our schools. Everyday, I see and hear from children who are discouraged because they get made fun of when they can't play a sport well or do the same amount of push-ups, sit-ups, or laps as everyone else. I see children refusing to participate. This behavior goes unnoticed because of the huge class sizes and small amount of teachers. I surely hope that you can cut class sizes and begin tackling these problems.
