We petition the President to direct all branches of the United States Armed Forces to take the following action:
Have a legal expert, rather than a superior officer of the accused, review sexual assault cases for court-martial, and prevent superior officers of the accused from interfering in the reporting process.
Ensure that when rape is reported, a rape kit is used as soon as possible, no later than twelve hours after the alleged rape.
Bar defendants accused of sexual assault from choosing resignation in lieu of court-martial.
Do not charge victims of sexual assault with adultery.
