In New York the MTA, over the years, has asked for more money per ride in turn for better service for its customers and better pay for its employees. Unfortunately New Yorkers are paying more per ride what seems to be every year and yet nothing has changed. For example if you refill your metro card at one of the metro card kiosks and it fails you have to mail your card in and wait weeks to be reimbursed. Meanwhile in your local station there is an agent who does nothing but sit there and mainly does what the machine does or gives directions. If we are paying them more they should have the ability to reimburse us on the spot. More so the homeless run rampant on the NYC trains on a daily basis with more ease than it is to get a metro card. We need to come together as New Yorkers.
