After spending many years serving our country, providing for the freedoms that we so enjoy, and compromise their family lives, personal lives and their own freedom, our veterans come home to increasingly difficult conditions to live in, with declining funding of veterans benefits as a ratio to the increasing number of veterans (http://goo.gl/79loU6). In the past year or so, reports have come out about the failure for VA hospitals to treat veterans in need of care because of declining funding, most recently reported on by CNN on January 30th (http://goo.gl/z3g3fg) and April 23 (http://goo.gl/nuM1D6), when over 40 veterans died thanks to neglect by the VA Administration in Phoenix and the maintenance of a secret list. It is time that we demand better care and benefits for veterans.
