Include "Being a convicted felon" in the equal opportunity employment act.

Created by K.L. on July 28, 2014

I feel the fact that someone is a convicted felon and has served their debt to society, should not hinder them from finding employment. I know there are tax incentives in place for certain employers to hire convicted felons, however i feel that it should fall under the equal opportunity employment act allowing convicted felons chances to work at any establishment. I feel they should be treated as equals in society since not everyone is a "career criminal". It's hard enough to find employment as it is, but there are plenty of convicted felons that are eager to re-enter the world and become productive members of society but are blocked by many restrictions employers have in place. Equality is all i am asking for and i feel there are plenty of people that would agree. Thank you.
