The United States is one of only 5 countries in the world that still utilizes Fahrenheit as a primary temperature scale. The United States should utilize the standard of Celsius as it is based on the freezing and boiling points of pure water at sea level.
Fahrenheit created an arbitrary scale with zero based on the freezing point of Water, Ice (yes Ice), and salt solution in equal parts for zero. And the human body temperature set to 96 because it is a highly divisible number.
Setting aside that Fahrenheit is not base 10 like Celsius (centigrade) but rather on the fact that he got the temperature of the human body wrong. How can we continue to use a scale where the person defining the scale got it wrong from inception.
