#include Computer Science as Required Curricula of Public Education

Created by J.J. on January 26, 2013

Computer technology envelops our world. There will never be a generation that will be without cell-phone technology, Microsoft Word, Facebook, and so much more that we take for granted. The next generation must have knowledge, if only elementary, to make sense of a world that is taking place more and more in cyberspace. Just like mathematics, literature, and the physical sciences, our world today is so engrossed in computer science that knowledge of the technologies that move America today is critical. A mandatory education in introductory programming concepts using C++, Java, or any other practical language will inspire many more students to pursue a career in a sector of the economy that is yearning for more workers, and will only expand as more jobs go the way of the elevator operator.
