Congressional Reform Act of 2013
1. Term Limits.
12 years only
2. No Tenure / Pension.Congressperson collects a salary while in office, receives no pay out of office and may not work to lobby Congress following term
3. Congress (past, present & future) participates in Social Security, and citizen Health care program. All funds in Congressional retirement fund move to the Social Security system immediately. All future funds flow into the Social Security system and Congress participates with the American people.
4. Congress purchases their own retirement plan, just as all Americans do. Pay will raise at same rate as Social Security.
5. Congress must abide by same rules as American people. All contracts with past and present Congress members void as of 1/01/1
