Include a current student sexual assault survivor on the White House Task Force to Protect Students from Sexual Assault

Created by A.B. on January 30, 2014

The White House Task Force for Protecting Students from Sexual Assault must include a sexual assault survivor who is
•A student currently attending a higher education institution in the United States
•Has experience working with Title IX policy and/or
•Is an active or former complainant to the Office of Civil Rights, Cleary Act or Department of Education

The student will engage directly with members of the Task Force by providing an appropriate perspective on the impact of proposed sexual assault policies on current and future college students.

One in five women are a survivor of attempted or completed sexual violence while in college. Therefore, it is crucial for an informed representative of the people directly impacted by sexual violence to be included in the policy-making process.
