In today's job market, many recent graduates are finding themselves "overqualified" for positions they have applied to. While equal opportunity employers claim not to discriminate potential employees based on age, ethnicity, creed, gender, or sexual orientation, oftentimes they will refuse to hire someone with "too much education." Legislation is needed to allow for protections for the highly qualified so they are not precluded from potential employment due to an advanced skill set
