Licensed mental health counselors and marriage/family therapists need to be included on Medicare insurance panels. The Affordable Care Act has made it possible for millions, many seniors and poor, to receive care! Current exclusions preclude them from providing services through Medicare! Title V of Affordable Care Act specifically discusses increasing and training the health care workforce! What better way to serve this need by utilizing this existing area of the trained workforce! It's time to end the discrimination against licensed mental health counselors and marriage/family therapists!
