Include "Public Works and Service" in the name and mission of the United States Military.

After the Second World War we changed the "Department of War" into the "Department of Defense". This reflected the times and provided direction for the military institution. Now we have an opportunity to reflect on the true nature of the US military. "Service" has always been at the heart of the US military mission. "Public Works" has like ways always been an important part of military service. Adding "Public Works and Service" to the title and mission of the US military would help guide the institution and open the way to unseen vistas of accomplishment. We currently face challenges in economic growth and employment. Climate change and space exploration, the military can help us solve these problems and turn them into opportunities for all Americans, our people and our industries.
