While the country waits for spending cuts to adversely affect many of us, we should take a good look at the salaries and benefits of those who did not act to prevent sequestration. According to a Congressional Research Report dated 1/2013 (see link below) approximately $6 billion dollars goes to salaries and benefits. Salaries average $175,000/yr. If congress can't efficiently solve the problems of our government and country, they should face 50% in spending cuts to income and benefits for not doing their job.
