Sesame seeds/oils are considered a major allergen in Canada and the UK, among other nations. While statistically sesame allergens may not be as widespread as peanut or egg allergies, for example, many people allergic to sesame seeds respond with anaphalaxis, making it a life-threatening allergy. By adding sesame to the list of allergens, companies would simply have to label better, providing contains/may contains statements. That little change would make many people much safer!
