This is a defining election year, where we have seen a substantial divide between the Democratic Party, the GOP, and the populus that support these respective parties. What we have learned during the primaries, with the success of Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders as political outsiders, is that the American population rejects the two party system.
This petition asks that, in this General Election, that third parties, particularly the Green Party and Libertarian Party, are given a voice, and are invited to debate Democrats and Republicans on the debate stage. If the average American is believed to have a choice in the election process, they deserve to hear the stances of third party candidates.
