Include veteran's widow (widower) to be able to participate in the Good Neighbor next door program home purchase.

There is currently a program called the Good neighbor next door that allow the sale of homes to be sold for substantial reduction of price to teachers, firefighters, and police. The program is managed by HUD, and allows people in these professions to purchase homes through help with financing and lowered purchase cost. It would be beneficial to add Veteren's widows (widowers) to this program as most live on a fixed income, usually ssi or pension, or the younger people work to support famiy and household on one income, which is usually low or moderate income. By allowing participation in the Good neighbor program, these people can contribute to community revitalization while becoming homeowners through HUD's Good Neighbor Next Door Sales Program.
