Puerto Rico is facing serious financial and political challenges. With the recently passed Puerto Rico Oversight, Management, and Economic Stability Act, there is no bigger inflection point to take advantage of building new digital institutions that will genuinely allow the effective redesign of government operations.
The Federal Government must include members with the technological expertise and cultural sensitivity to understand Puerto Rico’s social and economic hardships and translate those into tangible solutions. Architecting modern digital services as part of the assistance initiatives for Puerto Rico represents a clear chance to work together to build an awesome future for Puerto Rico, and set a real example of disruptive -yet very necessary- technological collaboration.
