increase aggregate lifetime maximum student loan limit for graduate students.

Created by M.N. on November 14, 2012

Medical and law students can receive up to $224,000 over the lifetime of their borrowing. If you are seeking a graduate degree, even spending much more time in school than a law student, pursuing your PhD, your maximum lifetime limit is $138,000.

Yes, we are able to take out direct loans with a signer - like our parents - but isn't this more or less the same thing that Mitt Romney advised us to do? Please raise the limit for graduate students, at least those of us pursuing a doctoral degree, to the same $224,000 that a law or medical student has.
