We the citizens request that the budget for nasa and space programs be increased to a much more sustainable level of funding. With the recent success of landing the Curiosity rover on Mars, we request a more robust budget for the space agency to continue our reach into outer space.
With the current NASA budget of 0.48% and a military budget having an "absolute floor" of 4% ( http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/22/washington/22mullen.html?_r=1 ), we can assume that 0.5% increase could be a negligible decrease from the military and a huge boon to the space industry.
The importance of being able to place a Human Device on a planet or in space is one of great importance to us as humans in learning about "our" neighborhood.
