NASA's 2011 budget of $18.4 billion represents about 0.5% of the $3.4 trillion United States federal budget during the year. NASA and the United States used to be the leaders of space technology in the world. NASA has also helped invent technologies for the civillian sector that help millions of Americans every day.
It is time that the United States shows their support for NASA and the continued advancement of technology and space exploration. By raising NASA's budget to just 1% of the federal budget, we can invest in the future of space exploration as well as the advancement of the human species.
