So many of the great technological innovations we take for granted today are directly linked to NASA and to space exploration. Going to space is hard, so new innovations are always being created to make it easier. This increase in technological innovations from a larger NASA budget that could launch more missions would create high paying jobs in the STEM field and could lead to technological innovations that we can’t even dream of. In addition, we would see improved medical treatment.
Another benefit of increased spending on space exploration would be one of international relations. During the cold war, we were able to come together with the Soviet Union to work together for the common good. Why couldn't this same thing work for us with other countries we have disagreements with today.
