Increase checks and balances for police officers through vest cameras.

Created by J.S. on February 13, 2013

To Serve and Protect. The police slogan reminds officers and citizens alike of the oath and duty that officers take. To be a police officer is to be more than a person with a gun. They are given more responsibilities, more burdens and, more than anything, more stress. When an officer fails their sacred duty, it is both tragic and devastating. This means that whether they fall stopping crimes, or fall into crime, justice can be served and the righteous protected.

The issue at hand is simple: How can the police best protect and serve the most people at hand?

Vest cameras. These are small, high resolution cameras that can be mounted to a vest and can provide context, accountability and evidence so that justice can be served. Please refer to kickassmallcop.net for an example of footage.
