We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Increase the compensation for Disabled Veterans

Created by K.F. on November 10, 2016

Currently the compensation levels for Disabled Veterans runs from $130 (approx) to around $3000 for a 100% disabled Veteran. This is not enough to live on, especially for the 100% disabled who for the most part are unable to work to supplement this income. This is all they have to maintain their families on. Doubling (or even higher rates) would go a long way to improving the lives of our homebound Disabled Veterans who have already given so much for our country. Proper compensation for their lost vitality, limbs, mental faculties, etc., should not be a matter of controversy. It should simply be enough for them to care for themselves for the rest of their lives.
